Legacy and Planned Giving
An important and lasting way to support Denver Academy of Torah is to include the school in your estate plan. DAT’s legacy gifts are invested in order to support our long-term efforts for building an even stronger foundation for the school.
We are excited to announce that Denver Academy of Torah has been selected to participate — along with 27 other local Jewish organizations — in Live On | LIFE & LEGACY™, a program that supports Jewish organizations in securing legacy gifts.
Live On: Build Your Jewish Legacy, an initiative of Rose Community Foundation, and LIFE & LEGACY™, a partnership program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, have joined together to strengthen the Greater Denver/Boulder Jewish communities by encouraging endowment building and legacy giving. Live On | LIFE & LEGACY™ provides training, support, and incentive grants to the participating organizations to encourage legacy gift solicitations and donor commitments that will benefit Jewish organizations for future generations.
If you would like to learn more about making a legacy gift through Live On | LIFE & LEGACY™ please be in touch with Director of Development and Marketing Emily Dauber at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are several ways to leave a legacy gift to DAT, including:
The simplest way to ensure that you provide for the people and charitable institutions that you hold dear is to make provisions for them in your will. (Learn more: What is a bequest?)
Memorialize a loved one, honor a special person in your life, or perpetuate your family’s name by creating a designated endowment.
Donate appreciated long-term securities, avoid tax on appreciation, and receive a tax deduction equal to the current market value of the stock.
Take out a policy for DAT and receive a tax deduction for premium payments — or donate policies whose protection you no longer need and receive an immediate tax deduction.
Receive guaranteed income for life — or two lives — at a generous payout rate and the balance will benefit DAT.
Pays you income during your lifetime with substantial tax deductions; DAT is the recipient of the remainder at the end of the trust term. (Learn more: What is a charitable remainder trust?)
Ask your accountant or attorney how you can maximize your tax benefits while ensuring Denver Academy of Torah’s future. For more information on making a lasting legacy gift contact Emily Dauber at 720-859-6806 or email@example.com.
